Of all the animals at my mom's house, Dafferino was the one who liked Kurka and acted motherly towards him when he was really little. She was a rescued dog who spent the first part of her life in a puppy mill as a breeder mom. When the puppy mill was shut down (good!), she needed a home and my mom gave her a loving place to be. She was very sweet with Kurka. He really loved her! Unfortunately, she recently passed away because of cancer. I'm glad my puppy got to know her before she was gone.
