Your dance layouts are all so cute and Cassie is just adorable in her outfit. I would think these pages/these kinds of photos would be hard to think of how to scrap, but you do a really wonderful job. I love the record you made and that you included her hair ribbon. Very creative.
This looks great! Love the embossing on your one circle and the record that you included! Great title work, too! And I LOVE that you used Cassie's hair ribbon from her costume as part of the layout! Hunter's tap number for dance this year is to the same song!!!
What an AWEsome page Lisa~I LUV that you used the big circle in the sketch to make a Record accent for your page! You are super clever & Cassie is going to cherish the albums you have made for her!! I wish you could be my mom too, lol!!!
This is the last of Cassie's dance portraits for the 2008-2009 year (Tap & Ballet Combo). I did all 4 of them on white bg's, and I tried to match the style of the LOs to the dance/costume. I had all kinds of trouble with this one. They danced to a 00's remake of an 80's song in a 50's costume. I tried to go with the 50's so I used the DCWV Mod Retro Stack for my pp. The tap portrait has a formal, but fun feel. The jazz portrait has an urban, but still girly, feel. The ballet portrait for Giselle is floral and bling-y. They are in the dance LO album in my gallery if you're interested. I used the same font (Deftone Stylus) to print the title as was used on the DCWV record pp -- I printed it on glitter cardstock, outlined the blocks with Diamond Stickles, and filled in over them with Glossy Accents to lock in the ink since it wasn't drying very well. In retrospect, I should have gone over the letters with a sharpie first because they are a little smudged, but I don't want to mess with them now for fear of making the whole thing worse. I also printed the class in the same font and put it over the fake song name on the pp. The blue circle was embossed on my Cuttlebug and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The chipboard frame was sprayed with several coats of Glimmer Mist, and the ribbon is the actual hair ribbon from Cassie's costume.
This is for the Monthly Sketch Challenge Week 3, and I did the twist to bling it up. I used 2 Glimmer Mists, 2 Stickles, 2 colors of glitter cardstock, and glitter number stickers.
