Welcome back, my friend!!!!! And...I see that you haven't lost one ounce of your creativity! What a wonderful collection of papers and goodies to showcase this photo! Love your stitching, too! Fabulous work, as always!!!
Oh, you're back!! I'm so glad. I have missed your creations. This one is gorgeous. It's so happy and bright. Your stitching is terrific. And left-handed. Are you kidding me!
So pretty, happy and bright! I love that you used the purple as the background... really makes for a vibrant LO. And the touch of white paint is awesome! Very artsy. Welcome back to scrapping!
love the colours and design.....you may not have scrapped for awhile but it didn't take you long at all to back to the 'swing of things'! these layouts are both wonderful!!!
Wonderful to have you back with these vibrant, fun layouts! I was immediately drawn to the paint work on this one, and your left-handed stitching looks fabulous!
What a fabulous lo Susan!! I have to smile because I have a family pic from the 70s as well that looks almost exactly like this. It so makes me want to scrap it!
Not bad for three months off, Susan! I love how that bottom border almost looks like a fence with the stripes and flowers on it. Great design on this too...lovin' the butterfly.
GCD Studios sponsored a Designer's Showcase at Ideas for Scrapbookers, and was generous enough to send everyone on the design team their Lydia collection to work with. This is one of the projects I made for the showcase. The photo is of my mother's siblings and spouses and I believe the picture was made in the 70s. My mother and a couple of my aunts (her SILs) are the only ones still with us. I added a little painting in the upper right corner. The flowers were hand cut. The butterfly is a MS punch. I added some stitchin around the circle and on the circle (and it was VERY difficult to do left handed!! LOL!). I also used a QK 12" border die for the circle strip at the bottom. These papers are really gorgeous IRL.

(These two layouts I'm posting today are the first layouts that I've scrapped in over 3 months! I felt like I was starting as a new scrapper. It was almost as if everything was new and I had to learn to scrap all over again! Ahhhhhh...but it's a good feeling to be back to scrapping!)
