Mother's Day Card made for a very nice woman (my childhood babysitter!)...
This was the first time I used "distressing" but I think it turned out well. I may have gotten carried away - I used it on the center piece of paper with the writing on it, the light-colored flower layers, as well as around the edge of the green background paper. Overall I'm happy with the effect.
The flowers were made after I viewed Gabriellep's tutorial. Thank you! The flowers turned out really nice, and it's good to have another method. I plan on adding to my "flower skills" now that I know I can make more than one kind!
Rhinestone accents and pink ribbon were added for a feminine look (and to keep it from looking too Christmas-y).
