no wonder I have seen this featured on the front page. Even though it is about a topic you don't think is beautiful you did a beautiful page. I too have issues with my straight hair so I totally understand. I think your beautiful though and it is deeper then just your hair!
Awesome Anna! I agree, her work is inspiring! This turned out fantastic & love the cutwork!! ohhh the emotions our hair can cause!! I have kept mine short & still feel the same way LOL tfs :)
hey girl great lil story you have shared here, well my hair is often longer than it should be wear your hair how you want to wear it it always llooks great in your fotos just luv this magnificent lil page awesome lil details and great foto of you
Fantastic LO Anna,i love how you have journaled your hair story,i hve a similiar problem and am older than you, cant give up the perms though,oh and i get streaks to cover the sneaky greys that sneak into my now mouse brown hair,i was born with silver blonde hair...life hey!!
This is a wonderful lo all about you! I'm with you on the colouring front - I'll go grey when I'm good and old enough, and that isnt yet! Mine is long too, and I can put it up if I want or have it down - thats good enough for me! I love this lo - fave!
Awesome lo! Right to my faves!! My mom was always after me to cut my hair short. She'd say your a mother now...you should not have long hair (I don't know where the logic is in that but shes old school Italian) I did cut my hair short about 2 years ago...but I'm in the process of letting it grow out again.
What a beautiful LO! I too can relate. Permed my hair for years...just stopped the last few years and my hair has never been more healthy, but it is bone straight...lol! Love the colors and papers, great design.
Fantastic layout on so many levels, Anna! Love the journaling and I enjoyed reading your description! I also have pin straight hair, incredibly soft and slippery so that everything placed on it slides off - LOL!! I've been getting body waves for years and I can't imagine being without one! You are courageous; good for you! TFS! Love this marvelous layout!!
I think almost all women can relate to this LO. I know I sure can. My identical twin sister has always had gorgeous hair and mine stringy. It's so not fair. :) Your LO is beautiful, as are you!
Love your journaling and I agree with what you said. Just because our mothers back in the day had short hair does not mean that we should! :D Besides I think our men like the long hair. :D You go girl!!!!
I love this Anna! The colors, flowers and flourishes are gorgeous. We have the very same story.......just insert curly where yours is straight. I know how you feel!!!!
I love your layout and especially love your story! I have the same problems!! My hair has been colored since I was in my late 20's as I grayed very early because of my Irish dad! LOL!
I love the page and there is nothing wrong with your hair. I don't think many of us like our hair. I just do what I can each morning and forget it, it doesn't make me! Live, Laugh & Love!
LOL! GabrriellP knows we all "stalk" her!!! I think you did a fabulous job on this!!! The colors are wonderful!!! I love the flowers and the flourishes!!!
GabrielleP probably thinks I am stalking her because I attempt to lift so many of her layouts. Of course, mine do not even come close to hers but her work is very inspiring and I've learned a lot of new techniques from her work. I did make some changes to my layout, but I did use her poem.
When I saw this layout, I knew I had to scrap it because I really am struggling with my hair. As a teenager, I had much longer hair then as I entered the work world after college, I just kept cutting it shorter and shorter. Because my hair is stringy straight, I always kept it permed, highlighted and/or colored. After over 20 years of short, permed, and colored hair, I made the decision to quit perming. I just cannot bring myself to give up the color! I really did not set out to let my hair grow. My hair had lost the soft, shiny feel to it because of the perms and coloring which was reason to quit perming. I did not like my hair short and straight so I just decided to go longer and see what I can do with it. So even today, I am still struggling with my hair but I have not gone back to perming! I never know from one day to the next what my hair will look like. Some days I can style it without any problems and then other days I never know which way it is going to fall! My DH thinks I am having a midlife crisis! Maybe I am…..
The papers used on this layout are the Teresa Collins Friendship Collection that I got in my November kit from My Creative Scrapbook. Those were some awesome papers. Everything used on the layout was in the kit except for some of the flowers which I made from coordinating cardstock and highlighted with some stickles. The photo is a self portrait…something I am not very good with so it is not the best of photos. And no, I do not have dandruff…that is snow in my hair! TFL
