GabrielleP probably thinks I am stalking her because I attempt to lift so many of her layouts. Of course, mine do not even come close to hers but her work is very inspiring and I've learned a lot of new techniques from her work. I did make some changes to my layout, but I did use her poem.

When I saw this layout, I knew I had to scrap it because I really am struggling with my hair. As a teenager, I had much longer hair then as I entered the work world after college, I just kept cutting it shorter and shorter. Because my hair is stringy straight, I always kept it permed, highlighted and/or colored. After over 20 years of short, permed, and colored hair, I made the decision to quit perming. I just cannot bring myself to give up the color! I really did not set out to let my hair grow. My hair had lost the soft, shiny feel to it because of the perms and coloring which was reason to quit perming. I did not like my hair short and straight so I just decided to go longer and see what I can do with it. So even today, I am still struggling with my hair but I have not gone back to perming! I never know from one day to the next what my hair will look like. Some days I can style it without any problems and then other days I never know which way it is going to fall! My DH thinks I am having a midlife crisis! Maybe I am…..

The papers used on this layout are the Teresa Collins Friendship Collection that I got in my November kit from My Creative Scrapbook. Those were some awesome papers. Everything used on the layout was in the kit except for some of the flowers which I made from coordinating cardstock and highlighted with some stickles. The photo is a self portrait…something I am not very good with so it is not the best of photos. And no, I do not have dandruff…that is snow in my hair! TFL
