SHCG: Love the smoke and the deco squares. Again...love the journaling flow!! The moth seems a bit large to me BUT this is your creation and only my opinion :)
SHCG: Oh I love the "smoke" coming out of the chimney LOL I love how the journaling flows across the page, almost reminds me of the wind. The moth looks a bit big for me but it doesn't matter, this is your special book and it doesn't matter as long as you get it.
SHCG: I really like the moth, can't see its realation to the moon but like Chell said as long as the person that created it gets it thats all that matters, love the style of journaling and the way u did the smoke is awesome!
SHCG: So awesome. The smoke from the chimney is great. If I hadn't read your comment I wouldn't have guessed the moth was the moon. As long as you get it, that is what matters. The journaling is awesome, again. The jornaling wasn't as easy to read this time but that is okay. I am sure it perfect in person. I really like the idea and flow of what I have seen so far.
SHCG - The coolness of this book continues. And again, I don't think this is too busy. I wish I could read the text better but I trust it's as fabulous as the journaling you've had so far. Diggin the placement of the text in all these pages, the way you make waves from individual words. I like the house & the pp squares in the sky now seem like distant houses (as opposed to cloudlike which they were like for me in the last one) - neato! I actually kinda got the moon/moth thing, not sure if it matters if people don't get the moon thing, still looks good. And I rescind my "give Daniel arms" comment on that other page, seeing armless Justin here establishes a style w/ all these figures, they're like whimsical Fisher Price people (the kind that don't have arms), which I think would work if they're like that through the whole book. Very creative - great to see your LOs again, Brian!
SHCG: The house is great, so it the journaling( again)! I think the butterfly is a bit too big, and I didn't even think it's the moon! I love the pp squares!
SHCG: More cuteness and whimsy here, with a nostalgic, wistful feel to the journaling--all of which I love. Clever use of billowing smoke from the chimney and touch of suggested brick pieces. I like flow from left page to right assisted by the tiles and journaling pieces across the spread. See my textural suggestions on the left page. Also, poor guy has no arms! I wouldn't have interpreted the moth as moon had you not pointed that out, even if it were placed differently. Maybe if you cut it out as a circle, suggesting the moth in the moon, like the man in the moon. I like that this room has different wallpaper pp. Nice accompanying page.
This is page 9 of a 20 page spread covering my first 30 years. This page is my friend Justin. The giant moth was supposed to represent the moon, but perhaps I placed it too low.
