i love this lo!! i have so many pics of trips i've made to visit the alpacas, but wasn't sure how to scrap them.. definitely might scraplift the color scheme!:) ps.. were you nervous around them? i always am... no matter how many times i feed them!
Lovely! We used to go for those kind of drives all the time! "Space drives" we called them. good times. Love your LO especially the stitching and stamping details!
My bestie used to have alpacas, those things are so funny. Gotta watch out or the suckers will spit at you! I KNOW! lol. This is a great page. love the stitching and the inking!
Today you win the prize for the most original scrapbook subject: Alpacas!!! I bet you are the only one to post an Alpaca page, Michelle! This is soooo adorable!!! What an incredible shot of Chelsea and that beautiful animal. Your design is FANTASTIC with all the kraft pp and FancyPants (you know my fondness for FancyPants:) Loving all the scallops and machine stitching, too! My fave element is that stamped embossed heart (just WISH I could see it IRL!) If I come to nfld, I definitely want to visit this farm! WONDERFUL page!!
I get a kick out of this pic of Chelsea and the alpaca staring into each others eyes. Lots of stamping, inking and embossing on this one! The background heart pp is kraft paper with 2 different heart stamps added with versamark watermark ink and I embossed the smaller hearts with clear powder to give them a little oomph. The large heart/swirl by the journaling is stamped on kraft , embossed and raised with pop dots after I fussy cut it. The heart frame was cut freehand using a pair of scalloped scissors.Journaling reads: " For our 18 th anniversary on Aug24.2008,we hadn't planned anything special. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday. The four of us jumped in the van and drove toward the highway. When we got there, I asked"East or West?" We decided on west and ended up on the Port au Port penisula. In Felix Cove, we stumbled upon this alpaca farm owned by Cathy Whitehead and Ed Hutchings. These huacaya alpacas of South American origin are GORGEOUS! They are very tame and gentle[no spitting like llamas!] Their beautiful cashmere like fleece can be used for beautiful knit ware... very warm!" TFL!
