My dd is very crafty at 4 years old. She made angel wings and halos for herself and her little sister.
I paper pieced the Precious Moments angel differently than I normally would have. Instead of cutting out each shape in different colors, I cut them all out of white cs and then "colored" them with chalk or water-colored pencils (or both). This technique wouldn't work for everything but was exactly the look I was going for. Much more subtle and pastel-y (nice word! lol!)
