Our youngest dgd, Abbi, holding on to one of the trees in front of our house. She was on school vacation last week so spent time with us. This old tree is getting ready to leaf out. Things are slower to blossom and bloom in Maine in the Spring.
The journaling reads:

This old tree has been in front of our house for many years, Abbi. Each one of your aunts, uncles and cousin’s, as well as your dad, have climbed up
and either hung, swung, or sat on this old branch. The branch has stood the test of time . There is something about this tree that seems to call out to each of you and say, “touch me, swing from me and remember
all the times spent at your Grammie and Grampie D’s house. Soon my leaves will bloom again.
