Dh and I managed to fulfil a dream by witnessing the Shuttle Discovery Launch in April 2010. We had been trying for years to see one up close and they kept getting cancelled/postponed, but this one went off as planned.

Journalling reads: The most exciting part was that Scott and I finally witnessed a Shuttle Launch. After heading out to the Space Park at Titusville at 1am and sleeping in the car until 5am, we waited excitedly on the beach front. At 6:21am, we were treated to these sights as the Shuttle Discovery began its mission to the International Space Station. We had to wait a minute until we heard the sounds of the engines making their way across the waves. A dream come true for both of us!

All the products here were from a kit, bought at the Kennedy Space Centre - papers, stickers, title, date and journalling cards. The mission patch came from an information envelope that I bought which contained all the information about the launch and crew, which I have tucked behind the main picture to be pulled out as needed. TFL!
