When I finished this heritage page, I thought, "This is either going to look really cool....or really bizarre." Hoping it's the first one! lol! I tried to create a scene on the boardwalk since these are photos of my mom when she was about 25 in Coney Island. Sorry for the quality of the photos....they were blurry black and whites to begin with and I couldnt' do much to improve them. When I was going through her old scrapbook and found these pics, I also found postcards she had bought too...and one of the them has the IDENTICAL image of that ride picture (from G45 pps) beside the flamingo! Isn't that wild?!?! I still haven't shown my mom cuz it's a surprise for the anniversary party this summer. Pretty much all page elements are cut from G45 pps "On the BoardWalk" collection (I kid you not!) I made the sun out of plain orange cardstock and inked and misted it to death. lol! The boardwalk is corrugated cardboard I distressed and misted. The bottle caps have been in my stash forever. I created the sand on lower right with torn BoBunny cardstock and then added real sand and shells I found in a little jar in my dd's room (sshh! don't tell her!) The Beach signpost is a new metal pin from Karen Foster Page Pin ups in "Baroque Black". 1955 is BG Choc chip chipboard. Arctic Ice Stickles are outlining the waves. Oh, and the background pp is from the new beach line from BoBunny. Had lots of fun with this page...thanks for looking! :)
