Why do I scrapbook?

Hmm, interesting question. I have been asked this many times, along with the question, "Don't you get bored sitting there messing with paper and pics?" Sometimes, depending on what I am working on. Now for the main question: Why do I scrapbook?

I could write so many reasons why, but here are the main reasons: I want to preserve our memories because my ancestors didn't (and I wish they had), I want those who come after me to know who I was, what I believed, and what mattered most to me. My family and friends are the most important things in the world to me, it allws me to express my creative side, meet new people and make friends, it keeps me sane, and I want to remember to never forget the important (and not so "important") moments in life! I want to tell "MY" story so when I am old and can no longer remember much of my past, I can always look through my scrapbooks again and again and know that I loved, was loved and that I lived. I also scrapbook because there are too many untold stories from my parents and grandparents lives that no one will ever know and I want my future generations to know me. So I want to remember the past, preserve the present and capture the future. And on a funnier note, because I like to shop and it is a lot of fun.

So, that is "Why I Scrapbook".
