How sweet... love it. In case you don't already know about this, when you go to do your WWII pages this website has branch specific and war specific products. I did my grandfathers WWII from products I found at www.creatingmilitarymemories.com/ Best selection I found for military stuff. Good luck, shoot me a message when you complete it, I'd love to see it!
Wow I love this layout and all the elements you put on it. I'm trying to figure out where the napkin is you mentioned....beautiful tribute to your Dad!
Loved reading your journaling-sorry about your dad. I can tell how much work you put into this from the masking to punching and adding the key and lock. That title is so true- FAV!! jen
this is AWESOME maggie!!!!1 very manly i have such a hard time doing boyish /manly pages i just cant seem to do it but you did an AMAZING job on this and a beautiful tribute for your father i cant wait to see more for him!!! bye mags!!
What a great picture of your dad and I'm happy to hear that this LO can let you remember how much you love him. This is a wonderful LO and a touching story in your details.
It's taken me quite awhile to respond to this page, Maggie. I've dropped in and looked at it a number of times. The photo speaks volumes to me....and the title and clocks...well, I think you know how I feel. I'm trying to figure out how you used the olives with leaves from the napkin. I don't even know what gel medium is! lol! Guess I will have to give you an "INNOVATIVE" vote cuz I can't imagine how you did that! hopefully you can send me a pm and clue me in! ha ha I do love everything here....all the Tim Holtz looks amazing, including that gorgeous mask. This is a page for my FAVES for sure!!!
maggie, I was just thinking of you!! This LO is amazing! Such a sweet story too. I think that you accomplished a "manly" LO, love the hinges! Really great.
My dear father next to his beloved roses the summer before he went into a nursing home for Alzheimers. I tried to keep it as manly as I could. I used the Martha Stewart trellis punch and added black olive bunches with leaves. this was a napkin that I separated and adhered with gel medium. My dad was in the Navy in WW2 and I hope to start doing some LOs of him back then in the near future. I still miss him every day but I can look at this photo and smile!
