You are soooo clever to look at these GCD papers and pull John Deere out of them. Only you... FABULOUS work. Simply adorable. I'll bet they loved this!
Susan, don't kid yourself! You can use ANY papers and create something magnificent! These papers are perfect, for sure! As usual, I love the darling photos! Beautifully done!
This is so cool..love the pps and colors and design AND the photos too. You're just so creative. Boiled peanuts??? have only heard of them but cannot imagine what they taste or feel like..texture is important to me...what is the difference between a boiled peanut and a regular one?
this is so-so-so adorable! Love it all. Love the tracks and the title. I bet the adorable boys thought they were in heaven! FAVS I may one day use this LO for my cousin's boys who were in a cotton field.
This paper is PERFECT for these photos. Which are awesome by the way!!! I just love your entire design too!! Boiled Peanuts? Love them!!!! The store on the corner sells them, and they also have the cajun which are to die for. I stop sometimes and get a large cup of them for dinner. LOL!!! They have big crock pots of them n the store. We've also bought the large bags from him that come frozen. For some reason mine never taste as good as his do. Maybe it's the crock pot effect. I usually just boil mine up. I might just go up there for dinner tonight. LOL!!! Got any dinner plans?
Recently I was given the opportunity to create with some of the fabulous GCD Lydia collection. This is another layout I've completed from that collection. This one is all boy! I love how the papers were so perfect for the "John Deere" layout! The little tags at the top were some pictures I found. The big tractor is from a photo and I cut it out and put it on pop dots. I stitched some "tracks" for the tractor wheels and added a little faux stitching around the yellow background. The title letters were cut with the Silhouette and mounted with pop dots.
These photos are three of my grandsons - Adam, Allen, and Jacob. We were at the Jay Peanut Festival (we live in the country - what can I say!) The festival had 20+ John Deere tractors displayed and these boys climbed on almost every one of them! We also had the opportunity to taste-test boiled peanuts (YUM!), fried peanuts, roasted peanuts...and of course, we bought a few green peanuts to bring home with us to boil and freeze - for that peanut goodness all year long! YUM-M-M-M-Y!!! Nothing better than a salty boiled peanut. (I've been told that's a "Southern" thing! LOL!).
