Journaling:
When I got to the beach and was greeted enthusiastically by my happy, laughing, mud covered son, I naturally assumed that his appearance was courtesy of a little boy’s brain gone wild. But when I asked Kyle about it, he said that he and Aidan were encouraged to get muddy “before the moms came down”. So they threw a little mud on themselves. And when they asked if they were muddy enough, they were told, “you can NEVER be muddy enough”. So they piled on more and more and more until they were covered from head to toe. Not surprisingly, we found out that the idea DID come from boys’ brains gone wild after all... their dads. We should have known!!!
