SHCG: This is another great page. I love the picture of your parents and your grandma in the sun :) I don't think you need more clouds, looks good as is :)
SHCG: I love that you continued the rings and sun on this facing page. Together, the spread has an immensity I like. I also like the one cloud with the wispier one underneath the sun, and the journaling trails. Your parents as the American Gothic figures is hilarious and clever, while your sentiments are so sweet and touching. The bunny is super cute. I don't feel you need more clouds, but I would like to see a little more of the tomato plant, as if the bunny were about to get into the little patch. I have to admit that this suggestion comes from my own prior experience with failed garden patches that I so weakly let wild bunnies have at.
SHCG: I adore this LO. A classic re-done with tremendous success. I agree about one more, smaller cloud, either between the journaling or near the top to the right of the staples.
SHCG: I love this one! Love the grandma sun, your parents, the journaling! I can see one more cloud-between the two groups of journaling. I love the bunny! Great page!
SHCG - Rockin how you recreated American Gothic here, & w/ your parents looking way happier than the original! Terrific to see your other grandmother (now I can imagine this page next to the other page). Again, I like the paper sunbeams & scattered staples. The journaling is touching & sincere, love it. And I friggin ADORE the tiny bunny! (I have a bunny thing). I could see a couple more clouds added, I like embellies in 3's/visual triangles, but SMALLER clouds so as not to thwart the nice balance you already have here - like diagonally above & right from "as I grew up" & just a partial one going off the page to the left of your mom's head. Just suggestin'. Anyway, excellent work!
This is page 4/20 from my book about me scrapbook. It's my recreation of American Gothic featuring my parents. I had a lot of fun using an iconic image as inspiration for my page. More clouds? I couldn't decide on that. (that's my maternal grandma in the sun on this page; it goes with page 5 where my paternal grandma is in the sun)
