Thanks so much for everyone's help! As of right now I think I'm just going to leave this page as it is and make another page that has journaling and such on it. But ask me tomorrow and I may have changed my mind again. Oh, and just so ya know I've been scrappin since I was about 11 thanks to one of my mom's friends. One of these days when I don't have so much homework I'll have to take the time to scan in some of my other pages.
I love it!! It's Beautiful. I agree with everyone else. If you feel you need to add something. I would say just a short journal of the place and the meaning behind it. However, I love it just the way it is.
Great first post! I love the fibers and colors, maybe something with the corresponding colors in the top left under the fibers, maybe you could try and hand make a flower with bright papers! But it is great the way it is also!
It's great the way it is! If you just want to change/add something, maybe move the ribbon that says "Arizona" to that empty corner so that it would say "Arizona" in the top left-hand corner and "Memorial" in the bottom right-hand corner.
I LOVE your pics! It is my dream to second honeymoon in hawaii, I bet that was SOO much fun! If This was my LO, I would have chosen a color in the red/yellow/orange family for the background instead of the green (i see why you did so though, to match the green in the plant) and like Karen B said, stamp or write the date under the arizona memorial works. Thanks for posting! I started scrapping at 15 myself.
The photos are absolutely beautiful and the layout you created for them is awesome! I love the colors and all the products used! I don't think you really need anything in the corner, but if you wanted to put something there what about a small tags that says Birds of Paradise for anyone who wouldn't know what type of flowere it was. You did an awesome job!!!
what about doing the journaling on the opposite page? Create a second page to add to. DOn't add anymore to this side! Let the photos take all the attention.
The only thing I might do is add a corresponding tag to the corner that you were talking about. It would tuck in between the fibers nicely and fill the space, and it probably would give you just enough room to write a few sentences of journalling without seeming over the top. Just my opinion. The layout looks great as it is, and those photos are awesome.
This page is lovely! I don't think you need anything more, however if you choose to put something maybe something in a striking orange color to match the blossom...? Great job!!!
I don't think there is anything missing. You did an awesome job! I love your color schemes and the mesh squares pulls the whole look together. Don't change a thing!
It is an awesome layout. Great color matching. You have a very good eye for that and very creative with your embellishments. The only thing I might add, if there was room would be some journaling space.
I think it is perfect the way it is. Sometimes i feel compelled to fill every empty space with SOMETHING!! lol. You have a lot of beautiful colors and textures going on here, and i think it works very nicely as is. also, due to the reason of the page, i think it is appropriate to leave it, letting your viewer reflect on the event.
One suggestion i have is to put the location and date somewhere. maybe written or stamped really small in the bottom right hand or something. that way people who may not be as knowledgeable aboutthe memorial will know where it is.
Great LO!
Beautiful photos and great colors!
I think it's beautiful as is, but if you want to add journalling, maybe tuck it behind the fiber to the left of the upper photo? And maybe below the words "Arizona Memorial" stamp or write the date?
I love this layout. The colors are great together. I know what you mean about something in the left corner. Maybe something in silver - not sure what though. Something small and simple.
My first post! YAY! I took these pics when I was in Hawaii last summer and as soon as I took them I immediantly wanted to scrapbook them! But only now have I finally semi-completed a layout that I felt was worthy to show them off. The big one is one of my all time favorite pictures that I have taken and I think it just came out beautifully. The only problem is I think the page needs something in the top left hand corner but I'm not sure what. I've thought about journaling only there's not really much to say. And I don't really have an embellishment or anything that would work. Any suggestions anyone? Should I leave it or add to it, and if so what should I add? Thanks! (Sorry, I know I talk too much.)(:p)
