I made this fan card for my mother for this Mother's Day, using some pictures I just discovered recently of her. I didn't want to make just a regular card, so recalled these old vintage fans we used to use in church, so designed this from that era. Cut ovals in the printed paper, distressed all the edges, added my grandmother's lace & her very old button. To assemble each section together, I stitched through the three layers: 2 DP and middle cardboard, then assembled them together with the button with a shank. This was so fun I'm thinking of taking the design to a local die-cutter who's done work for me before, and have him die-cut the cardboard sections & mass produce them. If you are interested in my doing this, let me know. I am willing to reasonably sell/ship them to whoever would like them. You would then need to trace around the shape with your DP of choice and finish off the project. I will add a second picture of the fan closed, to show you how it reduces into a smaller more compact size.
