I think it is impossible to forget this day. I waited in line for what seemed like
eternity. I was so hot and you were so crabby in your Christmas dress. I waited
patiently and listened to you fuss the entire time. When we finally reached
Santa, you took one look at him and held on for dear life. The first time I tried
to sit you on his lap you screamed so loud, it seemed like the entire Shopping
Mall turned to look at you. The second time you cried so hard, you couldn’t
breathe. I decided we should step aside and let others take pictures. I consoled
you and tried to explain that Santa is a kind and gentle man. After you stopped
crying, I made a third attempt. Making sure you didn’t set your eyes on Santa,
I walked you backwards and sat you on his lap. One nanosecond later you turned
your head and Screamed. I quickly took you off his lap, hoping that the photo-
grapher got a shot. I felt so bad that we had caused such a scene, all I could
say to the poor man was “sorry Santa!”
