This was really an "oops" photo. I didn't realize my camera was on, much less taking pictures. But I love the way this turned out, and I decided to scrap it anyway.
Dawn really is my favorite time of day. The whole of the day spreads out before you, full of potential, promise, and hope.
Then you go to work.
Technique : Nothing really fancy technique-wise here. Quite a bit of distressing - torn paper, cardboard mat, sanded edges, inking, stamping, embossing, a little rubon in the corner, and a journaling quote.
I used three colors of paint - Liberty Blue on the cardboard mat and Metallic Gold on the title chipboard, and then I dry brushed white paint over the base paper. The gingham paper is torn using a Fiskers template edge. I set the eyelets using my Big Bite Crop-a-dile. It's a handy gadget. I used a flexible curve to draw the lines for the gold polka-dot paper. Then I sanded and inked the edges, and finally machine stitched it on. The cardboard mat is painted, as are the chipboard letters in the title. I also used stickles on the title. The Flowers are Floradoodle Paper Wild Roses.
