This is a great design and esp like the circle. I love your prescription pad with her weight. Super cute idea. Nice pic. The added thought bubble made me smile.
Poor little Abigail! I'm glad she had her bed for security (and you, of course!). I understand why they need those cold metal tables, but seriously....I wouldn't want to be examined on one either!!!! My vet always got down on the floor with Lucky for exams and gave him a massage before doing anything else. Nice! Back to your page....I love all the work you put in to this, Lisa -- the painting, distressing, the stitching, the misting, the circle journaling -- every detail is perfect. I laughed when I read her weight. I cooked some ground turkey for a recipe last night and the package weighed 1 lb., 8 oz.! She is such a cutie!
oh how awesome is this.. what a cutie.. haha abby's my nick name.. she is adorable as is your lo.. you've been doing some fabulous work girl.. keep it coming.. there sooo great.. hope alls well.. :)
This is from Abby's first visit to our vet. They took this photo to hang on their 'new patient' board in the waiting area, and they gave it to me later. Abby wouldn't get off her bed and stand up for her photo - LOL :) The journaling is written around the circle and says: The day after getting Abby, I took her to see Ed to make sure she was healthy. She passed with flying colors, but she hated every minute of it.
I used ~TheSketchPad~'s Week 11 sketch to create this LO. I downloaded the blank prescription form from the internet and printed it on light gray cs. It has her name, age (9 wks.) and the date (4-10-07) as well as the vet's name. I used cursive foam letters to put her weight at that first visit -- 1 lb 8 oz. The label on the photo is the one they put on it for the bulletin board, and I left it on there. I painted the edge of the photo with denim acrylic paint. I used a rub-on for the thought bubble and wrote in it with a Vellum Writer. I distressed all the edges with my TH edge distresser and used distress inks on everything. I sprayed all the flowers with 2 glimmer mists, and I stitched the border and the star on the fold.
This is for: May Pet Challenge.
Use Your Supplies Week 1 ~ Rub-ons: We had to use 5+ rub-ons, and the twist was to use them from at least 2 different packages. I used 6 flowers (We R Memory Keepers), the flourish in the title (Pressed Petals), the '1' (American Crafts), the 'st' (Heidi Swapp), and the thought bubble on the pic (DCWV).
VLB Challenge to scrap about or use our favorite product on a LO. I don't seem to do many LO's without Distress Inks, and I used 6 of them here.
Sorry for the blurry pic -- it's pouring rain here today.
