Audji's 16th birthday was coming up and Amy wanted to make a topsy turvey cake for the occasion.
She started researching the cake and how to make it a couple of months before the birthday. She read countless articles on the internet and printed out instructions. She ordered fondant and gum paste to practice with. She went to a bakery and asked questions. She made little balls and colored them. She made a test cake.
Amy baked the cake and put it in the freezer. Finally it was the day of the party and Kevin even got into the act by helpng to carve and shape and assemble the cake. They made the layers and frosted them and put them back in the fridge.
After returning home from a trip to the store for last minute items, Amy went to the fridge to get the cake...and sadly...this is what happened to the bottom layer!
The cake still looked great-even though it was one layer shorter!
