It will add up - when you buy something be sure to pay just in bills so you get change back. I have an altered jar that says, "I scrap - therefore I am (broke)". I use the change for special scrap purchases.

i made this jar to help us save for our next trip to hawaii. so far we have 5 quartes and 6 pennys. that's not going to pay for much food.
