Journaling: We heard that Jessica Simpson was going to be doing a signing up in LA. Being fans of the Newlyweds show we all decided that it would be fun go. At the ages of 22-27 we were a little old for this kind of thing, but thought what the heck! We never do anything half way, so we went up the night before and decided to sleep outside in line so that we were sure to get in. The signing was at the Tower Records in Northridge and the parking lot was already setup with tons of line dividers when we got there. We arrived around 10pm and we were the first in line. We brought our sleeping bags, tons of snacks, beach chairs and a huge tarp. It was the beginning of March, but luckily there was a Santa Anna so it was nice and warm. Our huge tarp came in handy to shade us from the hot sun (everyone was quite jealous of the nice this shelter we had going.) We awoke the next morning to find that a few people had joined us during the night. It wasn't until later in the afternoon that the crowd started to arrive. By the time Jessica arrived there were thousands of people there. Since we were at the front of the line we were interviewed by all the top news programs including ET and Extra. It was finally time to go in and although we weren't allowed to take pictures I took some anyway! She was so sweet and very tiny in person. We got our CD's signed and said a few thing to Jessica and she asked us if we were the crazy ones who slept outside just to be at the front of the line. After it was all over we headed to our cars to make the 3-4 hour trip home. It was such a fun day and we all have great memories that we will never forget!
