Wonderful LO. It's this type of journaling that will show your daughter when she's older how much she tugs at your heart strings. Sometimes I think we have to experience the truly awful to appreciate the truly beautiful. Your daughter is precious and very lucky to have a mother who knows without a doubt how special she is.
I too was so relieved to see at the end of your journaling the tests were normal!!!! A very moving lo-can see why it was hard to do for you. But I think the results are beautiful!
This is a winner page, with a happy ending, thank You, Lord! What a great 'reflective' title. God bless you for sharing this emotional reflection, and God bless this precious daughter.
I was so relieved in your journling to read the tests came back normal! I like how you did the title and dressed up the journaling with the cute flowers.
This is for the March inspiration challenge. It was "windows". I've had these photos of my daughter for a while now and wanted to scrap this, but it's a pretty emotional LO, so I've put it off.
The title: Moment of Reflection was inspired by Erin Jo's avatar and signature line a while back.
My youngest daughter had to have tests run because the doctors were concerned about her weight being low. (Wish I had that problem!) Journaling reads: "As we waited at the hospital for your tests, we tried to take our minds off everything by reading some magazines. You played in the chairs, climbing up and down. Then you noticed your reflection in the window and stared at it for the longest time. It made me think of you looking forward to your future, past this lab, these tests, and the results. It was September 11, 2004. September 11th already held a sad place in our hearts. September 11th…the same day that Poppie had a stroke fifteen years ago. September 11th…the same day that terrorists attacked the United States three years ago. Now, September 11th…and these tests for cancer, cystic fibrosis, thyroid problems, and the list went on and on. They did a sweat test, blood tests, took stool and urine samples, but you were a trooper and smiled that huge smile through it all. September 11th…no longer a sad day, but now a happy day. All the test results came back normal, and your future is waiting. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for you! We love you, our precious baby girl!"
