Sheila, what a great job you've done, especially for your first card. Beautiful colours and choice of papers. I'm sure your mom loved receiving this instead of a mass produced card.
I'll bet your mother was delighted! Sure, it's so much easier to buy a card (probably a lot cheaper, too), but it's not nearly as much fun! Card making keeps me from making all the pages I need to, but I just can't seem to stop myself. You did such a lovely job on your first card, and I'm glad to have helped with the process! Looking forward to more!
This is my first card.....and it's a card-lift (is that the right wording?) I saw mimi 24's beautiful Mother's Day card on Mother's Day and decided to try my hand at making one instead of rushing to the store to buy one for my Mom....well five hours later, I was done! (I found a nice poem to put inside and printed that out and trimmed it with decorative scissors and inked the inside and added a few other touched inside the card as well, so I guess it would have been much easier to go buy one.....but this got my feet wet in the card making realm of this papercrafting I so love! AND it was a big hit with my Mom too!!! Thanks Mimi!!!......oh yeah.....and I FINALLY used my Cuttlebug for the first time, though I've had it for nearly two years!!!
