SHCG: Great Lo i love the way you matted all the pics and the feather is a great touch. I also really like the brads/string and the journaling banner. So cute :)
SHCG: Great pictures!! I have been around swallows my entire life...they were so common that I never paid much attention and that is so sad because I notice how beautiful they are in your photos. My memories of swallows are of my mother frantically knocking their mud nests down off of the house so they would not make a mess. :) Anyway, back to yor layout. I have to say that I agree with Brenda. I would love to see some more texture on this page. I do really like that green background paper...I think it contrasts wonderfully with the red barn color in your photos.
SHCG: I would have such a hard time covering up that bg pp, but I think you did a great job utilizing it. I love the progression you captured in your pics, the babies are so cute, and that nest is just awesome, so is the pic of mama flying off! I like the inking, too. Your description would make great journaling, I can see it written over the photo that's under the date or even trimming the photo and adding a journal piece. The nests make me yearn for more texture, like some burlap mesh maybe behind the title and date and so that you can still see that bg pp. That mama swallow is absolutely gorgeous. I love photograhic moments and memories like these.
SHCG - Great moments that you captured, what a sighting! Love the photos & your placement of them. The background pp & title fonts look marvelous, & the yellow mattes perfectly accent the pics. I agree w/ Dee, I could see some added journaling, perhaps on a small rectangle of that yellow, to the right of "tail," noting your feelings of beholding such a sight. Outstanding LO!
SHCG: Awe, so very cute! I love the photos! Also great bg pp and yellow borders! The title is great! I think you can add some journaling , but other than that this is great!
This is a revisited version of the LO. I added some jute, brads and journaling...oh, and a feather. In this LO I was trying to show the progression of what I saw after I noticed the nest: Just the babies, mom coming back and feeding, mom back and resting, then mom leaving to get more food for the opened mouths. This nest was above the door to a smoke/gift shop on one of the Native American Reservations a few hours from home.
