I always wanted to do a layout of this but since it was from my first marriage it seemed a tad tacky but dh doesn't mind at all.. I love the photo. This was taken in 1967 and I was only 20. The marriage lasted longer than some thought it would but if it hadn't ended, I wouldn't have what I have now..so no regrets.
I did some fake hand stitching and added the rhinestones for a quilted look which I have seen a few times..thought I'd give it a whirl. The circle is chipboard that I painted with Smooch. The thin reddish colored mat is stickled.
This is entered in Craftysprinkles No Challenge challenge.
I just edited this to add the word fake to hand stitching. I did no hand stitching..didn't mean to fib.
PS as I mentioned I had seen this "quilted" look before and just remembered a couple places I've seen it. One is a layout of Gabriellp's called Sisters..I saw someone had lifted a recent one of hers with quilting and I thought THAT"s who's done this before so I went through her gallery. Also the very first layout I ever faved called Gorgeous by Linda Ola did the same thing but with actual stitching.
