Here I have used a single photo, and highlighted different portions of it in the smaller boxes. The journaling reads, "In summer 2003 we drove up to Cherokee Park Ranch in Northern Colorado and spent a wonderful seven days which we will always remember fondly. The ranch was fun for everyone. Kira spent most of her time with the wranglers, riding Rodney-- a verry special small horse just for the littlest kids--petting the bunnies, using her new swimming skills, and playing other games they had available just for little people. Bjorn didn’t enjoy the riding much, have to admit, but he was a great sport about it, and had a good time with the other activities available, which included fly-fishing, white water rafting, a pool table, and a new friend who liked playing his Game Boy as much as Bjorn. Nicolette of course was in her element. She got to ride a really great horse, and picked up a number of first place awards at the end of the week rodeo. Guess who else did well in the rodeo? No-not me, although I won first place in the boot scramble. (Although I still love riding, I was a bit timid on horseback, having had a bad fall while on a horse at a full run the previous year.) It was Werner, who wasn’t even planning to ride when we first decided to go to the ranch. At the rodeo we were all there in our jeans and boots and there he was in shorts and tennis shoes, but he took first place in the men’s division of the Keyhole Race and the Pole Bending, and a second in the Barrel racing. Bjorn chose not to ride in the rodeo, but he held up the family honor as well by placing first in his division of the bootscramble. Even Kira got an award-she was named the official “Bunny Wrangler” for the week!
