Journalling reads: Alex, when choosing your name we wanted a strong, masculine name that wasn’t too unique nor too popular. We love longer names that can be shortened.
As with Lillee’s name, we wanted to honour our family members in your name too.
Alexander is a name we both loved as soon as we considered it. It is strong, masculine and has a good history.
Alexander is of Greek origin and its meaning is "man's defender, warrior".
Robert is a family name on the H {paternal} side of the family, shared by your great-grandfather Robert George and your poppy Robert Scott.
Robert is of Old German origin, and its meaning is "bright fame".
Roy is a family name on the W {maternal} side of the family, shared by your great-grandfather Roy Clarence and your poppy Peter Roy.
Roy is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "red".
When considering all 3 names, we read up on the meaning and hoped that these names would suit you. On meeting you, I knew without a doubt that we made the right choice.
