I used the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to help reduce static on the cardstock for embossing. After testing various inks and cardstocks I found I got my best stamping results with the finely detailed Earth Arts butterfly stamp using a juicy Ranger-Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing powder on glossy cardstock. I’m very much a beginning stamper so I would suggest testing yourself to see what gives you results you like. Palette and Versafine both gave good results but I found that the embossing helped corral the Copics which bleed, even on the glossy cardstock. Also, it was easier to do some of the fine outlining using Stabilo Fine Liner pens rather than the using the Copics. I used a 72 pt Croissant font for the “Thank You”, printed it out and used it for a pattern to cut out the letters from Terrifically Tacky Tape. I sprinkled the heather Flower Soft on the Terrifically Tacky Tape before applying the letters to the card. For the bottom I drew a shape for the combined green and heather Flower Soft card bottom making it a smidge larger than I needed to make placement a little easier. I printed it out and used it for a pattern to cut out the Terrifically Tacky Tape sheet. I carefully used a craft knife to cut through one paper layer of the Terrifically Tacky Tape for one of the Flower Soft Colors. Then I stuck the Terrifically Tacky Tape to the card, peeled the paper away for one color, applied one color of Flower Soft, peeled away the second layer of paper and applied the second Flower Soft color. I combined the three colors of green myself before applying. General directions for using Flower Soft are on their website. The butterfly antenna is made from black beading wire and seed beads glued on with the Best Glue Ever.
