We made a good team when it came to quilts for all our kids. You created the top and I quilted the last few .. the children still have theirs and enjoy them immensely. Great remembrance of Aunti Nettie.
This is for the BOM Challenge - I may not be wonder woman but----I am a quilter. The journaling reads: The quilt to the right was among a closet full of quillts of my Great Aunt Nettie Ripple, nee. Winters. Since she knew I was a quilter she told me I could choose one for myself. Upon going through some 30 quilts, I chose the Log Cabin one, pictured here. She asked me, "You want that ratty ole' thing?" I said, "Yes, Aunt Nettie, as the Log Cabin is one of my favorite patterns." "Ya' know," she said, "that was made by Gramma." "My Gramma?" I asked. "No, my Gramma," she said. I can't believe I have the oldest quilt in our family. In time, it will go to my Granddaughter. She will then have her Great-Great-Great-Great Gramma Carrie's quilt.
The quilts pictured below are a sampling of some of my quilts. All told, I have made over 60 quilts. I guess it just runs in the blood.
