Those distressed corner pieces on the photos are awesome! I never thought to do that...so pretty. And the postcard too. I love the way the layers have a faded feel like the photos...so the photos aren't overwhelmed at all, just nestled in.
Very cute! I have been trying to figure out what to do with my grandma's house. We lived in an A-frame that we built. When they finally moved out of it, the new owners revamped it and put a metal roof on it. I happen to have pictures of the new revamped home too. I just haven't figured out yet how I want to put it all together. I need lots of journaling space too to tell the tales of my little cemetary for all of my little chickens that didn't make it :)
A really lovely page with all the pearls, butterflies, and flowers. I like the distressing and the postal embellies. The diecuts are cool, and awesome work on those photo corners. You really captured the nostalgic quality to gramma's.
What a lovely place; no wonder that you miss it!!! Lots of awesomeness here, love the colors & distressed "frames", the pretty butterflies, and all of the scattered pearls!!!!
This is for the Swirlydoos June kit Butterfly challenge! :D
My gramma's house in NC, Oct 1982.
I made the picture corners with a stamp, Distress Ink, Perfect Pearls and Glimmer Mist. :)
I punched out 10 little butterflies and sprinkled them around. The chip die is from Dusty Attic, I sprayed it with Log Cabin Spritz, it is very sparkly! Prima flowers, leaves and bling!
