You've read my mind!!! This is EXACTLY what I want to do in a spare room I've got. I told my brother that I wanted to put a Murphy Bed in there and he didn't think it was a good idea. I think they're just fine if you use a quality mattress. Was it hard to build? Gotta talk my dh into building it for me.

Awesome idea. I have a twin bed in my scraproom, which is not proving to be very useful (except for my scrap friend who comes and stays). This may be the perfect solution for me too!
