May was "Misting Month" for me so I wanted to share six of my favorite layouts from that adventure.
I started this layout with the photo, then moved to thinking of the layout as a tribute page complete with a hidden pocket for my innermost thoughts and feelings (nestled behind the photo).
Next, I decided on the title, then embellishments and finally how to incorporate misting into the look-and-feel of the page. The eBook I wrote "New to Scrapbooking Quick Guide 6 - Easy Specialty Layouts" gives quick and easy specialty layouts ideas with much less detail than this -- however, this layout shows how a veteran scrapbooker can take basic concepts and incorporate advanced techniques and skills.
Tip: Save the packaging (cardstock) the Studio Calico embellishments come on. I used a strip of it for the top of the file folder/journaling card located behind the photo in this layout -- see how it coordinates nicely with the color pallet in the rest of the papers?
Thanks for looking and I hope you can have some fun with misting too.
