Journaling: I was the high bidder for the outing with Cassie's teacher again this year at the Gala. For $600, she got to choose a friend (Mary Beth) to go with Mr. Nuccio and her to the Museum of S&I one Saturday.

The main photo is the 3 of them that morning (June 2, 2007) at the school before they left to go downtown. The wallet was taken at the museum in front of the WWII German U-Boat exhibit. The other wallet size piece is a reduced copy of the certificate that states the content of the auction item I won, i.e. the outing with the teacher. I've also included her ticket with the date on it as part of one of the strips behind the photos.

This is for the Monthly Sketch Challenge Week 2. I did the twist to use all scraps other than the bg pp, and I did the bonus twist to use 10+ scrap or leftover items:
1. black cs scraps for one strip and 3 mats.
2. yellow cs scrap for the wide strip.
3. red Basic Grey pp scrap for one of the strips.
4. blue plaid Piggy Tales pp scraps for one strip and its orange reverse side for the punched star.
5. striped KI Memories pp scrap for the strip up the side of the large arrow.
6. 4 Scenic Route arrows leftover on a sheet of various diecuts.
7. leftover grungeboard star from an often used package (painted blue).
8. leftover Basic Grey Lime Rickey button.
9. leftover letters from used unknown brand alpha sheet for "school"
10. leftover letters from used EK Success alpha sheet for "on"
11. leftover letters from used Colorbok alpha sheet for "Saturday"
12. leftover question mark from used 3Birds alpha sheet.

Sorry, I forgot to explain -- dd's school is a private Catholic school, and we have 3 fundraisers per year to help keep tuition down -- a golf outing, annual fund, and a black tie dinner with live & silent auctions. Every year the teachers donate their time for an outing of some sort with one or two children, and those outings are some of the most hotly bid upon items in the silent auction. The money goes toward operating expenses for the school.
