The subject of this layout is my 21-year-old daughter; people constantly comment on her vivacious personality. She is a right-foot amputee due to a birth defect, and instead of being bitter about her foot, she has grown into an extrodinarily happy and well-adjusted young woman. I am so proud of her!

I wanted this layout to be very simple so the graphic and colorful photo would "pop", but I also wanted to include journaling and other photos as well. My solution was to create a "squash" book which is hidden behind the main photo. It slides into a slot under the photo, and has a little "handle" that I made from BasicGrey undressed chipboard. The handle is
painted black so that it blends into the background.

Journaling:
Lauren, you are such a colorful character!
At times, you can be RED with rightous indignation.
Sometimes, you are GREEN with jealousy.
Occasionally, you are sad and BLUE...
But mostly, you are YELLOW - sunny, lively, and just plain silly!!
