I am such a sap for happy endings and this is one of the best! How wonderful that your FIL survived and that your husband and his siblings could reconnect before it was too late. The LO is wonderful and I'm very glad you shared the story with us!
I love a story with a happy ending. Love this layout. So glad he recovered but glad it brought them all together...gives new meaning to the saying phrase "everything happens for a reason."
Awwwww....through teary eyes I write that this is such a touching layout and I'm so happy your DFIL is better and they're closer now. Luv that butterfly!!!
Such a very heartfelt title and a very touching story. So close to my own heart at the moment as we lost my dh's father just last week and we rushed to him. We are so thankful that we were all able to get there in time and be with him in his final days. It is such a beautiful layout and tribute to him Kathleen...I am so pleased he was able to pull through!!!
I just got goose bumps reading this, what a great story you shared with us! So great that you scrapped it...you should print the description you wrote above and attach it to the back of the page so future generations will be able to know this heartwarming story. I love a happy ending! I really love the flowers on this page!!
what a super touching story. That is awesome you scrapped it for them to look back on. TFS! I am glad your FIL pulled through and that it brought the family together.
I love this page and I am so glad your FIL is ok. Sometimes all it takes is for the people your are closest to to be by your side to pull you out of almost anything.
I'm teary eyed once again today over a beautiful story on this site..I'm so happy that everything turned out okay for your loved one and that through this serious illness a family has came back together. You created a wonderful page Kathleen to preserve this speacial memory!!!
oh now I have a lump in my throat, such a very poignant wonderful event you have shared, soso glad your loved one is doing ok, and through his serious illness, a family has been reunited. gorgeous presentation
what a beautiful story, Kathleen! We wonder sometimes, but things really do happen for a reason, and I'm so glad this story has a happy ending for your family! You've made a special page to preserve this memory.
Lovely LO! Love the pps and the butterfly looks gorgeous! Great title and journaling. I'm sure everyone coming together helped in his recovery Kathleen. Awesome job with the coloring...I'm kind of at a loss.
Beautiful Kathleen and such a wonderful ending to this story...love happy endings. Wonderful take on the palette...this palette has me stumped...think I am in a rut!!!
thank god for a happy ending, seen a few sad pages today and was hoping that this was not a sad ending... that is a fabulous story and I think that is probably want gave him his strength having them all there. Gorgeous page, tears rolling down my face. I am so glad he is fine. fav.
I've always believed that things happen for a reason. We may not know the reason at the moment, but eventually it does show itself. That is a wonderful story and I'm so glad that everything turned out so well for the family. Fantastic LO!
OMG this lo is very special for me......my family is in the same situation. Not very close and my dad is very ill. This brings hope to me that we too will all reunite. Thanks for sharing your wonderful story!
This is a great story, it is such a blessing for them all to be "united" again, to renew their love and remember what it means to be family. God is good in His wisdom.
This is such a touching and uplifting story....miracles do happen :) How lovely that the family reunited. Sometimes it takes a crisis to bring people together. Your design is wonderful...love the flowers and butterfly!
Don't see a lot of lo's with photos of someone in the hospital, but this is really a great one. When you see it, it makes you think about how fragile our world really is. I'm glad it was such a rare reunion and will hopefully inspire more.
so glad your FIL pulled thru. unfortunately sometimes it takes a tradgedy to unite a family. hopefully they well all stay connected/close now. you created a wonderful lo - heartfelt - warm and tender.
This is beautiful and so heartfelt Kathleen...made me teary to read your story behind this LO! Nice take on palette #12! i started one last night too...hopefully will get finished today!
This is a photo of my FIL when he was in the hospital. My husband got a frantic call from his sister to come back to California because the doctors were not optimistic. My husband had not really spoken with his Dad much over the years or his brother. When he got the news, my husband broke down and cried. I only saw him cry one other time. So I knew he had to get there as soon as possible. Paul (DH) flew in from Alabama and his brother flew in from New York and his sister was already there. They all stayed with their father. Then a miracle happened. Tim started getting better! He was moved from the ICU to a regular room and eventually he recovered! But now the family is united! The title says Hold on Dad we are on our way. The journaling says You were in the hospital and we were so scared. We all came together for you! TFL!
