On Wednesday June 23, 2010, at 1:41pm an earthquake originated 56 km north of Ottawa, Ontario Canada closest to the settlement of Val-des-Bois, Quebec. It had a magnitude of 5.0 The earthquake was felt as far away as the states of Massachusetts, Michigan, and Ohio.

I was 41 minutes into my work shift when the earthquake happened. I could feel a huge vibration coming from the bottom of my feet. The desks and dividers started moving at the same time. I wasn't the only one who felt this huge vibration. After 20 seconds had gone by, the tremors stopped.

This was the first time I had experienced an earthquake.

Please note that the photo you are seeing is background paper I used to create this layout. I have not heard of any damage done to the city.
