As many of you know, my ds was hospitalized with pneumonia for nearly two weeks. We thank God that we were able to bring him home safe & sound.

Journaling Reads:
Finlaly, after twelve days in the hospital, we were able to bring Daniel home. Daniel was anxious to get back to his daily routine and couldn't wait to get back to school. He went back to school two days after getting out of the hospital. No matter how much his heart wanted to get back to daily life, Daniel's body was still recovering and so very tired. That first week back to school, he'd get home exhausted and would take a nap (so unlike him). This photo was taken one of those afternoons. I took out my camera immediately as I wanted to capture the moment of this peacefulness that he finally had...no more nurses poking him, taking his temperature, waking him up in the middle of the night for his blood pressure, etc. But just as much as he is at peace, I am finally at peace. I sit here and stare at my boy who just went through so much as a child, more than I had ever been through. And as I sit here, I promise myself that I will never take any day or any moment I have with him for granted. I will hug, kiss and tell him how much I love h im every single day that I can. As I am thankful for him and God for letting me bring my boy back home safe and sound.
