I created this layout to commemorate my son's 6th birthday party. Obviously it was a Rock Star party and it was great fun! To read more about it, check out my blog at www.curlyqmosaics.blogspot.com. As for the actual layout, the inspiration came from a design over at www.twistedsketches.com. The twist on this layout was "music" any how, any way. I used lots of scrapbooking products as well as adding a few of my own touches. The invitation to the party was so cute, and I wanted to somehow incorporate it into this layout. The red backgournd paper with the gray flourishes on it, is actually an enlarged/scanned copy of the actual invitation. The word "Rock" at the bottom also came directly from the invitation. Here are the other products I used...Cricut Cartridge Indie Art, Hambly frame wallpaper overlay, the Paper Studio black houndstooth paper, GCD Studios Artsy Urban strips in blue/yellow, red/white cardstock, Best Occasions metallic black paper, Love, Elsie black music paper, birthday stamp from Stampin' Up, MLS red min-alphabet stickers, yellow/gold embroidery floss, as well as Pressed Petals metal "star" word...TFL! I hope you enjoy and Happy 4th!!!
