I inked a blank stamp pad for the flowers. I also inked the edges of the mats.

Journaling reads:
A columnist at The San Bernardino Sun (Ed Mauel - Angus or Periodical Biggins at faire) encouraged me to get involved with the Southern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire. So early into 2004 I signed up to join the Gardening Circle, working under the direction of Dame Jan Johnson. A group of us worked hard to turn the shire in Devore, especially the Friends of Faire garden, into a special place by April, one blooming with color. It was amazing to see the transformation over a few months, although it could be disheartening too - like when an army of bugs and rabbits ravaged many of the plants we had transplanted. Mother Nature taught me a lot too, about period plants and growing things and I had so much fun playing in the dirt!
