Journaling states: Mom found this baby squirrel on our patio downstairs. She reached down and called to it and it climbed right onto her hand. She covered him with her hands and brought him inside saying "Guess what I've got???" He was so adorable and was not afraid of anything. I held him for a few minutes and he started crawling around on my shirt and sniffing around, after which he promptly rolled up into a little ball and went right to sleep. That night we let him sleep in an animal carrier full of blankets where he nestled under the blankets, made himself a little nest, and slept all the way through the night. The next morning, Mike went to Petsmart to get the right kind of formula for him. We fed him from a syringe and he ate so much I thought his belly was going to pop. Later that way we reluctantly took him to Walden's Puddle Wildlife Rescue and we were so sad to see him go. What an adorable little guy.
