Great photos and wonderful story.
Never tasted coconutpie. Fun that you go there after 50 years and itīs still
a restaurant with the same name. Wonder if itīs the same interior. Gorgeous!!!!!!!
Very creative! I can relate. When we travel to Miami, Fl I always feel tickle pink to visit places that we went to when we were growing up.!
Regards,
Maritza
This is so cool!!!!! I love your photos of the bar stools! And your gingham fabric that looks like curtains. I think that it is wonderful that this restaurant is still there 50 years later!!!! Mmmmmm - coconut pie!
When I was a kid, my parents went "out to eat" one night a week. Sometimes they took the kids. Sometimes my Mom would dress up and they'd go alone. They'd find a favorite restaurant usually about an hour from home and travel there weekly for a spell, then venture somewhere else. One of the restaurants they frequented was the Lone Star on Rt. 40 near Farmington, Pa. I was tickled to find that 50 years later, it was still in business. On July 3rd we ate a late lunch there. The highlight was sharing a piece of coconut pie. 2010
The curtains in the restaurant nearly matched the wired ribbon!
