This is a shot I love from the San Diego Wild Animal Park from our trip in January 2007 (and my last LO from that park - yay!). Something about the light and the focus and the way Cassie is absorbed in the birds -- I just find beautiful.

This LO came together really quickly which is unusual for me. I drew a sketch then started looking through my pp -- I was going to do this for the No Challenge challenge, but when I realized that Fleuriste would be perfect, I decided to make it my entry for the Cosmo Cricket challenge this month. Everything here is CC except the letters for 'Naturally,' the bit of lace, the brown and cream pearl flower centers, and the Bazzill cardstock. We were required to have stitching on our LO's this month - I stitched the green flourishes among the flowers.

This is also for Use Your Supplies Week 4 ~ Journaling. We had to have 56+ words of visible handwritten journaling on our LO, and they had to be presented in some way other than a journaling block. Around the outside edge of the page, I wrote some lyrics to a song that was on an album of lullabies that I used to listen to with Cassie when she was a baby -- I have 90 words:
Is that your smile,
Or is that sunlight through the trees?
Was that your sigh,
or just a gentle breeze?
The rustling leaves,
They bring your laughter all around.
The dancing wind,
Feet barely touching down.
Is this a song?
Nature's perfect melody?
Time is on our side, and a seed planted in love will grow.
We are each a part of everything.
Are those my eyes,
Or are you looking back at me?
Is this a dream?
Or can it be, that I'm seeing for the very first time.
For the twist, we had to also include another 56+ words of hidden journaling. I wrote a letter to Cassie on cream cs and tucked it into a pocket behind the photo -- I have 74 words:
Dearest Cassie,
It gives me such joy to see your sense of wonderment and love for our natural world. You have a real thirst to learn about all of God's creatures, and I am so blessed to watch you on this journey of discovery. I know that this love will serve you well all your life, and that you will grow up to be an honorable steward of this Earth. I love you.
