This is the second to last LO for my 2007 San Diego vacation album -- it's just a collage of all the restaurant stuff from places that we ate on that trip. I always save this stuff because the food is a big part of any vacation. I also like to save Cassie's children's menus to save her pictures, and also because she had this quirk of coloring in whatever she was going to order -- so we can actually look back and see what she ate!

All the menus and the caricature are reduced copies -- the rest of the stuff is from brochures and a drink coaster. No design here - just cramming it all into 2 pages. It was a good opportunity to use up really old pp too. For the title - I put 'Fine Dining' in a plain font, and the used a more handwritten looking font to cross out the 'e' and change the 'i' to a 'u' for 'Fun Dining.'

Journaling: We had some memorable meals while we were in California. Cassie had calamari for the first time, and loved it, at Yard House in Irvine. We had wonderful seafood for dinner at the San Diego Pier Cafe in Seaport Village on New Year's Day. After our long day at the Zoo, we went to one of our favorite restaurants on Coronado, Coronado Brewing Company, for burgers and microbrews. While we toured Old Town San Diego, we had fantastic Mexican food and margaritas at Casa de Reyes in Plaza del Pasado. The lovely courtyard was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the music. That night, we got Chinese carryout from a place near the resort to eat in our room while we watched the Irish in the Sugar Bowl. We were exhausted after our day at the Wild Animal Park, so we just walked to a Rock Bottom Brewery in Gaslamp Quarter for dinner. We had lunch on our last day at Bay Beach Cafe at Ferry Landing on Coronado. We wanted to make it an early night since our flight was obnoxiously early the next morning so we just got TGI Friday's carryout for dinner. While we were waiting to pick up our order, a guy who had been eating at the bar walked up and handed me a caricature he had drawn of me and walked away.
