Love Rick Nelson - great title and such a cute pic and interesting story. (Oscar was a pretty popular name back in the 20s. My hubby's grandad was named Oscar also.)

My paternal grandparents, Oscar and Mary Lou, in 1921, the year they were married. She was 15, he was 30. Hey, that's how they did it in those days. My grandpa looks like he's actually flirting with her in this pic - certainly not a side of him I ever saw in his later years! My aunt is the one who wrote "Mom, Dad" on the picture. Check out the little kid in the left hand corner spying on them. How cute is that? Probably my grandma's younger brother, Clarence.
