What is there not to love? Totally digging the title with the lines drawn around the layout leading your eye right to it and the accents are fab. Not to mention the colors and design...faves! :)
Beautiful - love the waves and sun - worth the work! Have you tried ironing the paper from the back after it dries from the glimmer mist? As long as you don't already have the pics stuck down or metal poking thru, it's a quick solution to the curled up paper.
don't worry Melissa it looks fabulous & I find that happens to me sometimes too-my pics of my LO's aren't always as nice as what the page looks like IRL. GREAT job w/the week 2 sketch~I LUV your misted waves in the bkgrnd & the cute journaling area you made!! : ]
Made for the Monthly Sketch Challenge, Week 2 with the twist of using vacation photos. This thing was so much work it's not even funny!
First, I wanted to give the die-cut sun some dimension, so I used watercolor pencils and then blended them. I used 4 colors, red, 2 shades of orange, and yellow. Then I used orange peel Stickles to give it some sparkle. The background is masked with leftovers from the waves that I used under the journaling. My paper buckled so bad from the Glimmer Mist I had to spray the back side with water and leave it flat under a book overnight so they would be workable. At least they're flat now! :)
I'm really pleased with how it turned out, even if my photo is crooked and it doesn't look nearly as good as it does in person!
