I love the journaling. You have it documented now! He will never believe it when he gets older! You have beautiful handwriting. Love the red heart with the added lettering.
Gotta love the pre-school gifts and the fact he wanted it back! That is so cute! He looks so happy and proud in this picture! I can't begin to comment on the amazing work that you put into this layout along with the time! Definitely a labor of love! What a sweet memory!
i lvoe those flowers and taht heart! and i know exactly what you mean about projects and the kdis wanting them back! lol! when my little 7 year old brother was smaller he was the same exact way! it's actually really cute!
Journaling: I was thrilled when Elias gave me my 1st handmade Mother's Day gift. It was a "flower" bouquet that he made at daycare with egg cartons & pipe cleaners. The teachers first tried to grow real flowers, but as soon as they sprouted, the kids plucked them out. Elias was so proud when he showed me his gift, but he never actually gave them to me. Any time I put them up to keep them safe, he sees and insists that I give them back. Mother's Day 2010
The flowers & flower pot were cut in my sil, then glimmer misted with lots of colors. The flower was also cut on my sil in 6 layers, then I wet it and scrunched it and dried it. This is the first time I've written directly on my paper and I was really happy that I didn't make a mistake...lol! The heart I painted, then inked with black soot, then sprinkled diamond dust over parts of it (thanks StarSailor Scrapper for the sugared letters tutorial which gave me the idea). The 'with' I handcut out from a different title I had made. The 'love' is chipboard letters covered in white pearl puffy paint. I used the threading water punch on the red strip (thanks KimKV for pointing out what a great punch that is HAHA).
