Where to start????? Love all the great details - the tiny red and white scallops, all the different colors and fonts you used for the title, the way you did the word "hot", the cute little tomatoes, the stitching, all the great photos and, or course, the CC pp! Too, too cute! I just love it!!!! To my faves!
A couple of weeks ago, me, my mom, my brother Adam, and his wife Andrea went to Juliette and ate at the Whistle Stop Cafe- it was sooo yummy!! For this page, I used pp's by October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket. The chipboard letters are Cosmo Cricket. I used Thickers for the word "green" and I cut out the words "tomatoes" and "hot" with the Cricut. I used rub ons for the rest of the lettering. The chipboard flowers and bracket are from Cosmo Cricket's "Early Bird" line. The little tomatoes were cut out with the Cricut. I also included the recipe for fried green tomatoes on the journaling strips at the bottom. Here it is for those interested-
3-4 tomatoes 1-1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup corn meal 1/2 tsp. salt & pepper milk vegetable oil
Wash & slice tomatoes into 1/4" slices. Mix flour, corn meal, salt & pepper. Add enough milk to create a thick batter. Heat 2" oil in a large skillet. Batter slices, wipe off excess. Carefully place in hot oil, brown on both sides. To cool, drain in a colander to keep tomatoes from becoming soggy. Salt to taste.
